Job Context

• MISSION Contribute on delivering the high quality implementation of activity in line with Annual operating Plan of different thematic component.
• PURPOSE Project Officer (PO) is the team leader of specific project and is responsible for the entire activity implementation, sustainability of the assigned school, supervising, managing and leading the team to adopt right based approach and required logistics to assist Operation Coordinator in overall management of project activities.
• ENGAGEMENT:The PO will supervise the activity of project staff and provide required support to ensure quality result, maintain good relation with community for ensuring engagement of community, explore for establishing linkage with different organization and maintain regular relation with counterparts
• DELIVERY"The Project Officer will ensure accuracy of implementing the activity according to the planning, ensure dead line of deliverables of Annual Operating Plan , ensure that the project staff`s are being performed accurately with required capacity building initiatives, ensure availability of project logistics in due time and proper management.

Job Description / Responsibility

• ORGANIZE AND ASSESS THE COMMUNITY:
• Organize the information of community people and assess potentialities of the community by analyzing the socio economic, cultural condition of the community
• Collect the information regarding community engagement and services that are provided by the government in the community.
• Assess the capacity and the scope of all stakeholder especially the youth and the women of the community.
• PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTING EXISTING PROJECT ACTIVITIES:
• . Prepare action plan for effective execution of the project activities.
• Ensure effective and efficient implementation of planned and approved activities.
• Supervise the school staff to operate day to day activities in the school and at community.
• Ensure smooth operation of the assigned schools.
• Ensure safety security of the children of the assigned projects
• Take initiatives to enhance capacity of the children.
• ENHANCE CAPACITY OF COMMUNITY PEOPLE:
• Capacity development of the School Managing Committee (SMC) and other committees to be more responsible for the school.
• Support the community to acquire required services of local government allocated for the community through negotiation.
• Facilitate community people for enhancing community engagement initiatives for the school sustainability.
• Facilitate community for exploring and utilizing the new income generating opportunities.
• Capacity development of the community people for negotiating with counterpart.
• Enhance capacity of the community people for ensuring safe community for the children and child protection.
• COMMUNICATE WITH RELEVANT STAKEHOLDERS:
• Build link with respective government, local and international organization working in the community.
• Build and enhance linkage with the potential stakeholders and counterparts to receive and utilize their possible assistance to receive required support that allocated from government
• Initiate strong advocacy with local government for school nationalization.
• MANAGE THE TEAM AND LOGISTIC
• Provide required guidance and mentor the project staff.
• Take capacity building initiatives for the project staff.
• Ensure the safety and security of the project staff.
• Prepare for any emergency requirement.
• Ensure the school rent contract are updated regularly
• REPORTING
• Collect data and provide required report to the immediate supervisor.
• Deliver any new or modified program intervention.

Educational Requirements

• Post Graduate Social Science/Development Studies/International Relations from reputed university. Post graduation completed from foreign university will be given preference.
• Skills Required: Health,Gender,Education,Environment/ Disaster Management

Job Requirements

• Age 32 to 40 years
• Only females are allowed to apply
• Working experience in similar position in any international development organization preferably in child rights based organization.
• Proven working experience history on Child Rights and Protection, Community Engagement, WASH, Gender, Youth Engagement, Livelihood, Education, Community Organization, Sensitization and Development highly required.
• Commitment to and understanding of Educo's Mission Visions Values and Principles including rights-based approaches.
• Demonstrated ability to write high quality reports and other project documents.
• Child Rights-Based Approach, Country's related policies and laws, Well acquainted about Local Government roles, structure and their services.
• Candidate having valid Motorbike driving license will have preference
