JiVitA, a maternal and child health and nutrition research project of Johns Hopkins University in Bangladesh (JHUB) operating in Gaibandha District, registered with the Government of Bangladesh NGO Affairs Bureau, is seeking qualified applicants for the following post:

Research Statistician

Educational Qualifications: M.Sc Statistics, Applied Statistics or related field

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 1 year

Required skills:

• Fluency one or more Analytic Packages: SPSS, STATA, SAS, R, or S+
• Fluency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access
• Ability to do Bivariate and Multivariate analysis
• Ability to interpret data
• Draft report preparation
• Oral and written fluency in English
• Able to work under strict deadlines 

Preferred qualifications:

• Bio-statistics experience in a health field
• Publications in peer-reviewed journals or institute reports
• Experience working with research agency or institute

Responsibilities:

• Work as a member of a research team
• Support investigators with data analysis
• Extract, describe and analyze data
• Prepare reports and draft research papers
• Participate in data cleaning and help the quality control team

The project will provide necessary training to the selected applicants.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with relevant experience.
